The story behind 2T22 Mentorship began long before the ministry had a name.

In 2009, while completing a master’s degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, 2T22’s founder joined a Bible study group at Grace Bible Church. It was there that a deep love for studying God’s Word began to take root. After graduation, that passion grew into creating personal Bible study guides—beginning with Romans, then Ephesians, and eventually several other books of the Bible—and sharing Bible study experiences through a blog called Temi’s Race.

In 2018, came a call to mentorship. There was no programme, structure, or roadmap at the time—just a simple conviction to follow God’s leading. That same year, God began bringing people who needed mentorship, and from 2018 through 2021, those relationships developed primarily through one-on-one mentoring.

By 2022, it became clear that a group setting could allow more people to be reached, and monthly mentorship classes began. In 2023, the ministry officially became 2T22 Mentorship, a name inspired by 2 Timothy 2:2—a Scripture that had shaped the vision for discipleship.

A major turning point came in 2023. Following a leading to pursue formal Bible education, a study of hermeneutics helped bring the vision into sharper focus: 2T22 was to be centred specifically on Bible study teaching and mentorship.

In 2024, 2T22 began a structured curriculum focused on helping believers understand and correctly interpret Scripture. The monthly gatherings continued, but the vision kept growing—to equip believers not only to study the Bible well, but also to become capable mentors and Bible teachers themselves.

Today, 2T22 continues to grow through monthly mentorship, structured Bible teaching, the development of mentors and teachers, and an expanding online Academy designed to make Bible study training accessible beyond the monthly gatherings. Many of those now serving as mentors within 2T22 were themselves raised through the ministry.

And that remains the heart of the vision: to faithfully teach others who will, in turn, be equipped to teach others also.
